Newstech Circa 1984 started off as a promising marketing organization to address the needs of the Newspaper Publishing Industry for low cost, remote Multi edition printing. It concentrated in the High Tech areas of the pre-press and post- press operations.
Newstech launched Products and Services to fulfill these needs for multi-locational remote editions with centralized editorial content. The consequence of this concept was Facsimile editions with automated pre and post printing operations using the modern mail room concept. This resulted in Start-up of remote Newspaper Printing sites with about 30% - 40% saving in Labour and Equipment.
Newstech marketed and provided Installation and after Sales Service support for some of the World's leading Equipment Manufacturers for this purpose like CHEMCO's Facsimile Transmission, Western Litho's Plates Processing and Idab Wamac's Mailroom Systems. We simultaneously started Marketing Plate and Press Room Chemistry to complement the Equipment.
In 1986 Newstech successful installed the Chemco Facsimile Transmission System, Western Litho Plate Line & the Idab Wamac Mailroom System at Malayala Manorama's and India's First truly remote Printing Site at Trivandrum. These systems then became the Industry Standard in remote Editions started by most of India's Leading Newspapers including The Times of India, Indian Express, Eenadu, Deccan Herald, The Hindu , ABP Ltd, Hindustan Times Ltd., Hind Samachar Ltd etc.
In 1994 we launched the Newstech™ Brand of Plate-making and Press Chemistry with the motto "Chemistry for Better Printing" . Our Products are being used by many of India's Leading Printing Companies.
The increased sophistication in Printing Presses and Processes created a need for Superior Press Chemistry and Plate-making, and so we tiedup with the World's No 1 Press Chemistry Manufacturer DSC; Germany, for their wide range of Chemistry approved by all leading Press, Plates, Blankets & Rollers manufacturers. We simultaneously launched the "DARANI" Brand of Korean manufactured Plates. Our Products have found wide acceptance by the most critical Printing Companies in India.
The turn of the Millenium urged us to get into an area we so far resisted - the Printing Press. We successfully negotiated the Exclusive All India Distributorship to represent the world's oldest and most respected Press manufacturer KBA - Frankenthal, Germany.
